Quaternary surfactant analysis of a cosmetic formulation using HPLC-CAD Be the first to rate this application

Description

This method provides an effective analysis of quaternary surfactants in a cosmetic formulation using a Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 HPLC system with charged aerosol detection (CAD). A Thermo Scientific Acclaim Surfactant Plus column is used, which provides improved results as this group of surfactants tends to tail on conventional silica-based reversed-phase columns. The Thermo Scientific Corona charged aerosol detector is an effective choice since the two active ingredients in this formulation are unsuited to UV detection.
