Retention and resolution of the highly polar compounds glyphosate and AMPA using LC-MS
DescriptionIn this work, the retention of highly polar compounds glyphosate and AMPA was demonstrated using the Thermo Scientific Hypercarb HPLC column using a fast and sensitive method with MS detection. Through its primary retention mechanisms (dispersive and dipole induced interactions) hypercarb shows greater retention and resolution of underivatized glyphosate and AMPA than silica based C18 without requiring an ion pair reagent in the mobile phase.
