Separation of related impurities of Furosemide injection as per BP Monograph.Instrument Type: HPLC
The Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the separation of related impurities of Furosemide Injection as per BP Monograph 2007. The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Syncronis C8 HPLC column with UV detection at 238 nm. With a total run time of 36 minutes the method allows separation of all related impurities of Furosemide. The obtained Relative retention time of Impurity C, B, A, E and D with respect to Furosemide peak are as 0.39, 0.43, 0.76, 1.28 and 1.5 minutes respectively
Forensic Screening for Drugs in Urine Using High-Resolution MS/MS Spectra and Simplified High-Performance Screening SoftwareInstrument Type: LCMSMS
Forensic toxicologists need an economical solution to screen for a virtually unlimited number of compounds in urine. Here we present a method for screening using a dilute-and-shoot approach with the Q Exactive Focus mass spectrometer and Thermo Scientific ToxFinder software. For forensic use only.
UHPLC Method Development for Simultanous Determination of Antihypertensive Combination AgentsInstrument Type: UHPLC
The current trend in antihypertensiion therapy is the medication with several antihypertension agents in a single pill. Here eluent switching capabilities of the Thermo Scientific Vanquish Binary pump H are applied to develop a UHPLC method for simultanous determination of antihypertensive combination agents on a Thermo Scientific Accucore Vanquish C18+ column by scouting different eluent combinations.
Fast and Easy HPLC Method Development: Application of an Automated Method Scouting System for the Separation of Hypertension Drug FormulationInstrument Type: UHPLC
The Automated Method Scouting Solution with Chromeleon CDS 7.2 allows an efficient screening of methods. The user-friendly solution requires no manual interaction and runs unattended. By applying the Custom Injection Variables the needed instrument methods for altering chromatographic conditions is decreased to a minimum. Easy generation of a method scouting sequence is provided by a dedicated eWorkflow which already contains Custom Injection Variables and related instrument methods. Predefined test case criteria and queries help to extract the most promising methods.
AN87: Determination of Sugar Alcohols in Confections and Fruit Juices by HPAE-PADInstrument Type: IC
Sugar alcohols are used in confectionary products because they impart a sweet taste without the calories associated with sugars. Their use in foods is regulated due to their laxative and diuretic properties. This application note uses the Dionex CarboPac MA1 column and pulsed amperometric detection to determine sugar alcohols without the need for derivitization or postcolumn reagents.
