Tandem Operation of gradient methods for water soluble vitamins

Instrument Type: HPLC

Many fast UHPLC and traditional HPLC methods suffer under delays caused by the need to wash and equilibrate the column after the separation. Typically we see 20%–40% of the runtime used up by these essential steps within a gradient method. Here a solution utilizing a dual-gradient pump setup with column switching capabilities to overcome these delays without the need of redeveloping existing methods is offered. The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ UltiMate™ 3000 LC Dual System with the Viper Tandem Operation kit allows to sppeding up gradients in LC and UHPLC assays.

Rapid and sensitive UHPLC screening for watersoluble vitamins in sports beverages

Instrument Type: UHPLC

• To demonstrate the capability of the Thermo Scientific™ Acclaim™ PolarAdvantage II (PA2) and Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Flex Binary UHPLC system combination for the rapid separation of water soluble vitamins in sports beverages with excellent linearity, reproducibility, resolution, and recoveries. • To show the capability of the Vanquish Flex Binary UHPLC system to provide superior retention time precision through its novel pump features.

Analysis of phytonadione using a silica HPLC column meets USP 39 monograph specifications

Instrument Type: HPLC

The Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the assay analysis of phytonadione. The analysis was performed on a Thermo Scientific Hypersil GOLD Silica HPLC column using the method described in the USP 39 monograph. The results obtained for resolution met the criteria stated in the USP. The results obtained for resolution between the peaks due to (Z)-phytonadione and (E)-phytonadione was 2.1 (USP criteria of NLT 1.5).

Quantitation of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D2 and 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 in Plasma for Clinical Research Using the Prelude SPLC and TSQ Endura Mass Spectrometer

Instrument Type: LCMSMS

LC-MS methods have been widely used to analyze vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 25-hydroxy metabolites (25OH D2 and 25OH D3) in human plasma. Clinical research laboratories are always seeking fast and cost-effective methods to improve analytical efficiency. Here we evaluated a high-efficiency, simple sample preparation method implemented on a Prelude SPLC system that combines online sample cleanup powered by Thermo Scientific TurboFlow technology with chromatographic separation and a TSQ Endura triple quadrupole mass spectrometer.

Rapid Analysis of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D3, epi-25-Hydroxyvitamin D3, and 25-Hydroxyvitamin D2 in Plasma for Clinical Research Using High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry

Instrument Type: LCMSMS

Chromatographic separation is required for simultaneous analysis of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25OHD3) and its epimeric form 3-epi-25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (epi-25OHD3) in a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method because both compounds have the same molecular formulas and the same fragmentation spectra. We developed an LC method that provides baseline separation between the two isobaric compounds. We coupled this chromatographic method to an MS method, which collects high-resolution MS/MS spectra for compound identification and quantitation.
