Quantitation of THC and THC Metabolites in Blood Using SOLAµ SPE Plates and the TSQ Quantiva Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer for Forensic Analysis

Instrument Type: LCMSMS

Cannabis is the most frequently abused drug and THC the major psychoactive constituent. THC is primarily metabolized to THC-OH, which has equipotent psychoactivity and is further metabolized to nonpsychoactive THC-COOH. Second-phase metabolites, are also present in blood and can be used as markers to determine recency of intake while improving interpretation of analytical results. LC-MS analytical methods are widely used for analysis of THC and metabolites. LC-MS methods do not require sample derivatization, thus yielding savings over typical GC-MS procedures. For forensic use only.

Simultaneous Analysis of Mycotoxins in Dairy Products by Liquid Chromatography - Quadrupole Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry

Instrument Type: LCMS

Mycotoxins are a diverse group of highly toxic secondary metabolic products from various fungal species. Their analysis can be challenging because the physicochemical properties of these compounds vary widely. LCMS has been widely used, however, this technique is not suitable for simultaneous screening of large numbers of mycotoxins. Instead, ultrahigh-performance LC coupled with hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap MS can provide both detailed structural information and effective screening of multiple mycotoxins.

Validated Method for the Analysis of Lipophilic Marine Biotoxins in Bivalves by Liquid Chromatography-High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry

Instrument Type: LCMS

A harmful algal bloom is a serious environmental problem that results when the population of microscopic algae in a water system rapidly increases. The algae have the ability to produce marine biotoxins (MBTXs), which are dangerous to humans and other aquatic life. These biotoxins can accumulate in filter-feeding bivalve mollusks and, in turn, pose significant food safety risks to humans who ingest the shellfish, including gastrointestinal illnesses or neurological disorders. We describe a UHPLC with HRMS/MS method that delivers excellent results in the quantitative analysis of MBTXs.

Fast analysis of tuberculostatics by LC-MS

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of tuberculostatics. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Hypercarb column in less than 10 minutes, with MS detection.

Rapid analysis of glucosamine sulfate by LC-MS

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of glucosamine sulfate. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Hypercarb column in less than 5 minutes, with MS detection.
