Separation of related impurities of Calcitonin (Polypeptide Hormone).
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the separation of related impurities of Calcitonin. The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim 120-C18 HPLC column with UV detection at 220 nm. With a total run time of 75 minutes the method allows separation of all related impurities of Calcitonin.
Trace analysis of pharmaceuticals and organic contaminants in water
Instrument Type: LCMSMSWe present the reliable and accurate quantitative analysis of contaminants at the pg/mL level in drinking water using the Thermo Scientific EQuan MAX Plus LC-MS system coupled to the Thermo Scientific TSQ Endura triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. Excellent reproducibility was shown for the target compounds in tap water using 1 mL injections at 0.37× maximum effluent concentration.
TN148: Automated Extraction and Determination of Human Hormones in Drinking Water Using Solid-Phase Extraction and HPLC with UV Detection
Instrument Type: HPLCThis Technical Note describes the use of high-surface-area solid phase extraction (SPE) to extract seven human hormones from drinking water using the Dionex AutoTrace 280 SPE instrument. Extracts were subsequently quantified using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to determine the recovery.
Detection of Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care Products, and Pesticides in Water Resources by APCI-LC-MS/MS
Instrument Type: LCMSMSWe developed a simple method for the simultaneous determination of trace levels of compounds from a diverse group of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and personal care products using SPE and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). We determined which selected substances are present in significant quantities in the water resources around the Montreal region.
Fast analysis of catecholamines using a solid core HILIC HPLC column
Instrument Type: HPLCThe use of a Thermo Scientific Accucore HILIC column allowed the separation of seven catecholamine related molecules in less than five minutes at standard HPLC backpressures. Accucore HILIC columns are therefore an excellent choice for the fast analysis of catecholamines, allowing high sample throughput and analysis on conventional HPLC systems.
