CAN109: Primary Metabolite Analysis of Plant Material Using a Triple Quadrupole MS Coupled to a Monolith Anion-Exchange Column

Instrument Type: ICMS

A platform using Dionex ion chromatography (IC) coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (MS) was developed to measure various metabolites in Brassica napus seeds. The IC tandem mass spectrometry (IC-MS/MS) technique provides a good tool to identify and quantify metabolites in a complex matrix.

AB135: Determination of Anions and Organic Acids in Brewed Coffee Samples Using Capillary IC

Instrument Type: IC

The characteristic aroma, acidity, and flavor of a coffee are attributed to the inorganic anions, organic acids, chlorogenic acid, and monosaccharides content. In this study, inorganic anions and organic acid anions in caffeinated and decaffeinated brewed coffee samples are separated within 20 min by anion-exchange chromatography on a capillary Dionex IonSwift MAX-100 (0.25 × 250 mm) column set using a gradient of potassium hydroxide eluent at 12 μL/min.

AN106: Ion (Ion Exclusion) Chromatography in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Instrument Type: IC

Ion Chromatography is a simple and accurate technique for the analysis and quantification of charged species. This application note describes the use of ion exchange chromatography and ion exclusion chromatography in the pharmaceutical industry for the analysis of ions in ingredients and final products. The topic of cleaning validation is also discussed as it applies to charged species. Here shows the separation of several weak organic acids by ion exclusion chromatography using an IonPac ICE-AS6 column.

TN126: Determination of Organic Acids in Beer Samples Using a High-Pressure Ion Chromatography System

Instrument Type: IC

This Technical Note presents the advantages of the 4 μm particle-size IonPac AS11-HC-4μm column combined with the Dionex ICS-5000+ HPIC system for optimal separation of organic acids and inorganic anions in beer samples using electrolytically generated hydroxide eluent with and without an organic modifier. An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
