Separation of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine by using UV detection.
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the analysis of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine. The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Hypercarb HPLC column with UV detection at 200 nm. With a total run time of 48 minutes, the method allows easy separation of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine.
Quick determination of miconazole in athlete's foot ointment
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of miconazole in athlete's foot ointment. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim 120 C18 column, with UV detection at 225 nm.
Comparison of fused silica and metal GC columns using a standard test mix
Instrument Type: GCThe Thermo Scientific TRACE GC Ultra is applied for the comparison of a fused silica and a metal GC column using a standard test mix. The columns compared are the Thermo Scientific TraceGOLD TG-WaxMS and TraceGOLD TG-WaxMT GC columns and full method details are available in the application note PDF.
AN1107: Determination of Anions and Carboxylic Acids in Urban Fine Particles (PM2.5)
Instrument Type: ICIonic forms of air pollutants are analyzed here using anion-exchange chromatography and suppressed conductivity. The gas sample included particles < 2.5 um (PM2.5) was collected using ambient ion monitoring and then dissolved in deionized water. The dissolved inorganic anions and organic acids were separated on a 4 mm i.d. IonPac AS11-HC column and detected by suppressed conductivity. This method provided analysis of more ionic contaminants than standard methods (EPA Method 26A) and ASTM D5085-02). An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
Improved isocratic separation of basic, neutral, and acidic molecules on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 column
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 column is used for the isocratic separation of basic, neutral and acidic pharmaceuticals. The novel column chemistry of the Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 column provides a multi-mode separation mechanism that includes hydrophobic, anion-exchange and cation-exclusion interactions.
