Utilizing TSQ mass spectrometry to quantitate 106 drugs of abuse in urine

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Horizon UHPLC coupled with the Thermo Scientific™ TSQ Quantis™ Plus mass spectrometer is used for the separation and detection of drugs of abuse in urine matrix. The SPE extraction uses Thermo Scientific™ SOLAμ™ SCX SPE plates for minimal sample and solvent volumes. Using a Thermo Scientific™ Accucore™ C18+ column with a total run time of 7 minutes, all isomers were separated including codeine / hydrocodone, and hydromorphone / morphine / norhydrocodone. The method includes 106 of the most tested drugs of abuse for easy adaption to customer labs.

Quantitation of an oral fluid drug panel including THC using the Stellar mass spectrometer

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Horizon UHPLC coupled with the Thermo Scientific™ Stellar™ mass spectrometer is used for the separation and detection of drugs of abuse in oral fluid matrix. The SPE extraction uses XTR tips with mixed mode SCX/WAX chemistry. Using a Thermo Scientific™ Accucore™ Biphenyl column with a total run time of 4.5 minutes, all isomers were separated, including methamphetamine / phentermine and hydromorphone / morphine. The method includes both CID (resonance-type, unique to ion traps) and HCD (beam-type) activations for more optimized fragmentation.

Utilizing HRAM Orbitrap mass spectrometry to quantitate 106 drugs of abuse in urine

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Horizon UHPLC coupled with the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ mass spectrometer is used for the separation and detection of drugs of abuse in urine matrix.

A ready-to-run workflow for quantitating 80 drugs of abuse in whole blood with the TSQ Certis Triple Quadrupole MS

Instrument Type: LCMS

The Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Flex UHPLC coupled with the Thermo Scientific™ TSQ Certis™ mass spectrometer is used for the separation and detection of drugs of abuse in whole blood. The method features protein precipitation and filtration extraction protocol using ToT technology. Using a Thermo Scientific™ Accucore™ Biphenyl column with a total run time of 4.5 minutes, all isomers were separated, including methamphetamine / phentermine and hydromorphone / morphine / norcodeine. With >900 SRMs per second and sub 5 ms polarity switching, this method offers the speed and sensitivity required.

Screening and semi-quantification of fentanyls in human urine using high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry for clinical research or forensic toxicology

Instrument Type: LCMSMS

Implementation of an analytical method for the screening and semi-quantification of fourteen different fentanyl analogs in human urine using a Thermo Scientific™ Q Exactive™ Focus hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap™ mass spectrometer. Fentanyl is an opioid used as a pain medication together with other medications for anesthesia. Fentanyl and fentanyl analogs made illegally are also used as recreational drugs. Fentanyl and its analogs are significantly stronger than morphine, with some analogs (carfentanil) exhibiting ~10,000 times higher strength than regular pain medications.
