Analysis of Beer Using a High Speed U-HPLC Coupled to a Linear Ion Trap Hybrid Mass Spectrometer
Description
We coupled a HRAM instrument to an ultra high pressure LC. The optimized LC method decreased the total analysis time from 130 to 25 minutes. Considerable time and cost savings facilitate routine process monitoring and quality control applications. Reproducible chromatography combined with reliable highly accurate mass measurements on the LTQ Orbitrap enable fast profiling of complex mixtures for their comparison (typing). Also, unknown components of the mixtures can be identified and their chemical structures confidently assigned using the MSn fragmentation capabilities of the LTQ Orbitrap.Market: | Food and Beverage |
