Simultaneous Analysis of Amino Acids, Acylcarnitines, and Succinylacetone in Dried Blood Spots for Research Using Nonderivatized and Derivatized Methods
Instrument Type: LCMSMSWe developed a flow injection analysis-tandem mass spectrometry (FIA-MS/MS) research methods for simultaneous detection and quantification of 12 amino acids, 18 acylcarnitines, and succinylacetone in dried blood spots and compare derivatization and nonderivatization sample preparation methods.
Analysis of Beer Using a High Speed U-HPLC Coupled to a Linear Ion Trap Hybrid Mass Spectrometer
Instrument Type: LCMSMSWe coupled a HRAM instrument to an ultra high pressure LC. The optimized LC method decreased the total analysis time from 130 to 25 minutes. Considerable time and cost savings facilitate routine process monitoring and quality control applications. Reproducible chromatography combined with reliable highly accurate mass measurements on the LTQ Orbitrap enable fast profiling of complex mixtures for their comparison (typing). Also, unknown components of the mixtures can be identified and their chemical structures confidently assigned using the MSn fragmentation capabilities of the LTQ Orbitrap.
Separation of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine by using UV detection.
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the analysis of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine. The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Hypercarb HPLC column with UV detection at 200 nm. With a total run time of 48 minutes, the method allows easy separation of L-Cystine, Carboxylic acid and Triethylamine.
Separation of process intermediate stages of Glutamine.
Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the analysis of Glutamine intermediates The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim Polar Advantage HPLC column. There are 3 different stages which are highly polar, mid polar and non polar in nature and need to be separated, these stages are termed as Stage-IC, Stage-II-B and Stage-III Stage-I-C, Stage-II B and Stage –III are well separated and are easily detected up to 0.15 ppm when spiked with Stage-III.
