A rapid ibuprofen USP assay method

Instrument Type: UHPLC

To demonstrate practical approaches that can be used to significantly improve throughput of the ibuprofen USP assay monograph keeping to the spirit o USP-NF Chapter <621> guidelines while maintaining USP quality acceptance criteria. To then take this optimized assay monograph and reduce analysis time even further.

AN1148: Assay of Nitrite and Determination of Nitrate Impurity in Sodium Nitrite Using a Reagent-Free Ion Chromatography System

Instrument Type: IC

This application note reports our evaluation of the IC method for nitrite assay and nitrate determination in the proposed revision of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) monograph for sodium nitrite using an electrolytically generated potassium carbonate/bicarbonate eluent to execute the method rather than the manually prepared sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate eluent described in the PF proposal.

IC Assay for Lithium, Sodium, and Calcium in Lithium Carbonate Using a Compact Ion Chromatography System

Instrument Type: IC

Lithium carbonate is used to treat a number of mental health problems associated with chemical imbalance in the brain. Sodium and calcium are possible cationic impurities in lithium carbonate preparations. This record shows a method that uses a Thermo Scientific Dionex IonPac CS16 cation-exchange column, an electrolytically generated MSA eluent, and suppressed conductivity detection to determine lithium, sodium, and calcium in lithium carbonate that was published in Application Note 1090. In this record the method is executed using an Integrion ion chromatography system.

USP Monograph: Content of flavonol glycosides in ginkgo tablets using C18 HPLC column

Instrument Type: HPLC

The Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 LC system is applied for the content of flavonol glycosides in ginkgo tablets. The separation was performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim 120 C18 HPLC column using the method described in the USP 38 monograph. The system suitability parameters met the criteria stated in the USP.

Rapid separation of ibuprofen, ibuprofen related compound C and valerophenone using advanced UHPLC and 4 µm solid core column

Instrument Type: UHPLC

Demonstration of the advantages of using the Thermo Scientific Accucore XL C18 4 μm UHPLC column and the Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC system for the separation of ibuprofen, ibuprofen-related compound C, and valerophenone.
