AB72363: Detection of Common Organic Acids using a Compact Ion Chromatography System Coupled with Mass SpectrometryInstrument Type: ICMS
This application brief demonstrates a method for detecting common organic acids using a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Integrion™ HPIC™ system with a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IonPac™ AS11-HC-4μm column set and coupled to a Thermo Scientific™ ISQ™ EC single quadrupole mass spectrometer.
AN666: Routine analysis of polar pesticides in water at low ng/L levels by ion chromatography coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometerInstrument Type: ICMS
We present an IC-MS/MS based method for high-throughput screening and quantitation of polar pesticide residues and their metabolites in water matrices below the current legislative requirements. Direct injection eliminates long and laborious sample preparation and makes the method more sensitive and faster than traditionally used LC-MS/MS methods, which utilize FMOC derivatization. This method can increase cost savings, provide more reliable results, and increase sample throughput.
AN661: Fast routine analysis of polar pesticides in foods by suppressed ion chromatography and mass spectrometryInstrument Type: ICMS
We present a reliable and cost-effective IC-MS/MS multi-residue method for high-throughput screening and quantitation of polar pesticide residues and their metabolites in food matrices below the current legislative requirements. In contrast to methods described in the literature, sample preparation is simplified and the use of ion chromatography speeds up the separation.
AN1112: Determination of Anions in Breast MilkInstrument Type: ICMS
Breast milk is the primary source of nutrition for newborns before they are able to eat and digest other foods, so there is a close correlation between breast milk quality and infant health. In addition to proteins and vitamins, the ionic elements such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and nitrate in breast milk also are important for infant health. However, consumption of breast milk that contains a high concentration of these ions could lead to health issues. IC is an efficient means to determine anions. An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
Update of AN151: Determination of Perchlorate in a Drinking Water Sample Using a Compact Ion Chromatography System Coupled to a Mass SpectrometerInstrument Type: ICMS
Perchlorate, an industrial contaminant from rockets, munitions, and fireworks, causes thyroid dysfunction in humans, especially pregnant women and children. In 2002, the EPA recommended a Provisional Reference Dose for perchlorate of 1 µg/L in drinking water. In 2015, California established a MCL of 6 µg/L with a Public Health Goal of 1 µg/L. IC-MS can provide lower detection limits (~ 30 ng/L) than conductivity in high-ionic-strength matrices using the MS selectivity at 99/101 m/z. Here we update AN151 with the Integrion IC system combined with the MSQ Plus mass spectrometer.
