Rapid and sensitive UHPLC screening for watersoluble vitamins in sports beverages

Instrument Type: UHPLC

• To demonstrate the capability of the Thermo Scientific™ Acclaim™ PolarAdvantage II (PA2) and Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Flex Binary UHPLC system combination for the rapid separation of water soluble vitamins in sports beverages with excellent linearity, reproducibility, resolution, and recoveries. • To show the capability of the Vanquish Flex Binary UHPLC system to provide superior retention time precision through its novel pump features.

Comparison of the analysis of a peptide mix with formic acid mobile phase additive

Instrument Type: HPLC

The Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of a peptide mix. The separation is performed on both a Thermo Scientific Acclaim 300 C18 HPLC column (chromatogram A) and Thermo Scientific PolarAdvantage II (PA2) HPLC column (chromatogram B). This comparison shows that when formic acid is used instead of TFA for peptide analysis the Acclaim PA2 provides a complementary selectivity compared to the C18 phase.

Analysis of perfluoro-octanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) in tap water using reversed-phase HPLC with suppressed conductivity detection

Instrument Type: HPLC

The separation of perfluoro-octanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) in tap water was performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim PolarAdvantage II (PA2) HPLC column, with on-line sample concentration and suppressed conductivity detection. Chromatogram A is Sunnyvale tap water spiked with PFOA and PFOS and chromatogram B is a control.

Comparison of six stationary phases for the separation of catechins

Instrument Type: HPLC

The Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 RSLC system is applied for the analysis of catechins. The separation is performed on six different stationary phases; Thermo Scientific Acclaim C30, Acclaim Mixed-Mode HILIC-1, Acclaim Phenyl-1, Acclaim 120 C18, Acclaim PolarAdvanage and Acclaim PolarAdvantage II. The results were compared.

Comparison of five reversed-phase columns for the separation of 1-naphthyl isothiocyanate (NITC) derivatives of volatile amines

Instrument Type: HPLC

The Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 HPLC system is applied for the analysis of 1-naphthyl isothiocyanate (NITC) derivatives of volatile amines. The separation is performed on five reversed-phase columns; Thermo Scientific Acclaim C30, Acclaim 120 C8, Acclaim 120 C18, Acclaim PolarAdvanage and Acclaim PolarAdvantage II. The results were compared.
