AU185: Determination of Nitrite and Nitrate in Wastewater Using Capillary IC with UV Detection Be the first to rate this application

au185 determination nitrite nitrate wastewater using capillary ic with uv detection

Description

Ion chromatography (IC) with suppressed conductivity detection is an effective technique to simultaneously determine common inorganic anions in water samples. However determining nitrate and nitrite at low concentrations in high ionic strength samples such as mineral water, wastewater, and brine, can be challenging. IC with UV detection provides an alternate approach for determining ions with chromophore properties without compromising sensitivity. This method updates AU132 using a Dionex IonPac AS18-Fast capillary column on a capillary IC system. An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
