Simultaneous Analysis of Mycotoxins in Dairy Products by Liquid Chromatography - Quadrupole Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry

Instrument Type: LCMS

Mycotoxins are a diverse group of highly toxic secondary metabolic products from various fungal species. Their analysis can be challenging because the physicochemical properties of these compounds vary widely. LCMS has been widely used, however, this technique is not suitable for simultaneous screening of large numbers of mycotoxins. Instead, ultrahigh-performance LC coupled with hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap MS can provide both detailed structural information and effective screening of multiple mycotoxins.

AN155: Determination of Trans-Galactooligosaccharides in Foods by AOAC Method 2001.02

Instrument Type: IC

In AOAC Method 2001.02, a buffered extract of the sample containing TGOS is treated with an enzyme, β-galactosidase, that hydrolyzes TGOS to galactose and glucose. Galactose and other sugars are separated on a CarboPacTM PA1 column and detected by pulsed amperometric detection (PAD).

TN146: Fast Determinations of Lactose and Lactulose in Milk Products Using HPAE-PAD

Instrument Type: IC

This application demonstrates fast separations of lactose and lactulose in milk products by HPAE-PAD on the 4 mm Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm column, which was facilitated by the high-pressure capable Dionex ICS-5000+ HPIC system. An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
