Instrument Type: HPLCThe Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of omeprazole according to the USP monograph. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim PolarAdvantage II HPLC column, with UV detection at 305 nm. Since the USP method operates at pH 9, a column with good alkali resistance is needed. The Thermo Scientific Acclaim PolarAdvantage II gives excellent performance for this assay.
