Instrument Type: HPLCThe alkaloids present in goldenseal root were extracted using a Thermo Scientific Dionex ASE Accelerated Solvent Extractor system before separation by HPLC with UV detection. The separation of hydrastine and berberine was performed in less than 10 minutes on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim 120 C18 HPLC column.
