OSHA Method 60 for volatile amines using reversed-phase chromatography with the Thermo Scientific Acclaim C30 HPLC column
Description
The Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 system is applied for the analysis of volatile amines. In this work, 1-naphthyl isothiocyanate (NITC) reacts with amines in an air sampling tube, to produce a UV-absorbing thiourea derivative. In this work, the Thermo Scientific Acclaim C30 separates the three amines in OSHA Method 60 with a simple isocratic reversed-phase elution. OSHA Method 60 describes the use of normal-phase chromatography, but as shown here reversed-phase chromatography can provide equivalent or better results.Market: | Environmental |
