Demonstration of the advantages of using the Thermo Scientific Accucore XL C18 4 μm UHPLC column and the Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC system for the separation of ibuprofen, ibuprofen-related compound C, and valerophenone.

In this work the advantages of using the Thermo Scientific Accucore Vanquish C18+ 1.5 μm UHPLC column and the Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC system for the separation of ibuprofen, ibuprofen-related compound C, and valerophenone were demonstrated. The advanced capabilities of the Vanquish UHPLC system allow the Accucore Vanquish UHPLC columns to be operated at higher flow rates that enable development of rapid analytical methods while maintaining performance.

The Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the analysis of ibuprofen and valerophenone. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Accucore C18 column. The method of analysis is based on the USP monograph.

The Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 RSLC system is applied for the analysis of ibuprofen and valerophenone. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Accucore XL C18 4 µm HPLC column, with UV detection at 214 nm. Compared to a conventional 5 μm fully porous column using the same experimental conditions, the Thermo Scientific Accuore XL C18 4 μm HPLC column provides improved efficiency, sensitivity and resolution for the analysis of these compounds.

The Thermo Scientific HPLC system is applied for the determination of ibuprofen and valerophenone using the USP method. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Syncronis C18 HPLC, with UV detection at 214 nm.
