AN73988: An Improved Method for Galactosyl Oligosaccharide Characterization

                                Description
Here, we describe a HPAE-PAD/MS method for high-resolution profiling of GOS. Separation of individual oligosaccharides in GOS was achieved on a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ CarboPac™ PA300-4μm column. For mass spectrometry, the oligosaccharides pass through a desalting device that replaces sodium present in the eluent for hydronium ions. Intact oligosaccharides are first analyzed without fragmentation. Then, oligosaccharide fragmentation in the negative ionization mode provides MS2 spectra that include glycosidic as well as cross-ring fragments that that were used to identify oligosaccharide DP.| Market: | Food and Beverage |
