Analytical testing of trace elements in refinery products using a robust ICP-MS approach
DescriptionThe main objective of this application note is to establish a method enabling the analysis of a variety of typical samples relevant to the petrochemical industry, including starting materials such as crude oil up to high purity finished products such as naphtha with different boiling ranges, using ICP-MS. Optimized detection limits using dedicated modes of analysis were determined, and key analytes benefiting from the use of triple quadrupole ICP-MS were identified.
