AN73105: Determination of Total Halogens, Sulfur, and Iodine in Liquefied Petroleum Gas by Pyrohydrolytic Combustion Ion Chromatography Be the first to rate this application

Description

Determinations of halogen and sulfur-containing compounds in liquified petroleum gas (LPG) is needed because these contaminants can foul the catalysts during processing. Pyrolytic combustion ion chromatography (CIC) is an ideal approach to eliminate the sample matrix and increase sample homogeneity. This application note demonstrates the determinations of total halo-benzene compounds and total dimethylsulfide in n-butane LPG as fluoride, chloride, bromide, iodide, and sulfate using pyrohydrolytic combustion coupled with IC.
