Description

In this application the mass spectrometric detection of six oxygenated polyaromatic hydrocarbons is compared for electrospray and atmospheric pressure chemical ioniziation (ESI and APCI). It demonstrates the benefits of APCI as an alternative ionization mode compared to classical ESI and gives an example for the use of these complementary techniques.
