TN72439: Practical Guidance for Switching between Anion and Cation Analysis Systems: Anions Be the first to rate this application

Description

Municipalities often are required to determine both anions (nitrate, nitrite, fluoride etc) and cations (magnesium, calcium, ammonium) for compliance monitoring. It is ideal to have a dual system that can accommodate both anion and cation analysis. However, many analysts have a single IC system and need to switch between anion and cation analysis. This technical note discusses the operation and installation of the IC system for a smooth transition from an anion to a cation system and vice versa. Anion results are shown in this record. An ICS-6000 can be used for this application.
