Description

The BeerNHop solution using an on-line SPE-UHPLC method was applied for the analysis of beer. Automated analyte enrichment was done by solid phase extraction (SPE) on a Thermo Scientific Hypersil GOLD C8 column. Then, the separation was performed on a Hypersil GOLD 3 μm column with UV detection at 270 nm. With a total run time of 15 minutes, the method allows fast screening for isohumulones in beer. Hence, beer bitterness is quantified and the isohumulone pattern is identified within minutes. The BeerNHop solution is a valuable tool for the daily business of each brewery.
