Description

The Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 HPLC system is applied for the analysis of glyceric, glycolic, lactic, acetic, and levulinic acids. The separation is performed on a Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 HPLC column in under 7 minutes, with UV detection at 210 nm. This group of very hydrophilic acids are difficult to separate using a reversed-phase column. But on the Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 column, this task becomes easy, as its unique column chemistry combines both reversed-phase and anion-exchange properties on the same column.
